People are often unreasonable,
illogical, and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may
accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some
false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building,
someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness,
they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today,
people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have,

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving holiday. I know I did!

I made my way out to California with my son to spend Thanksgiving with family. For as long as I can remember we have all gathered together (great-grandparents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, sons, daughters, etc) for holidays. And for as long as I can remember I have loved it. There is a connection there that cannot be replaced.

At the same time, holidays with family and even friends can be difficult. It is with this thought that I send todays message.

These words encourage us to be our best today and everyday. Think of this story whenever you run into obstacles in life. There is often a greater reason for everything we do - let's do our best to realize it.
